Description
A PP2A activator; increases the affinity of PP2A-B56α to a PP2A-A and PP2A-C dimer; does not induce phosphate release in a cell-free assay using B55α, B56α, or B56ε as the regulatory subunits; decreases Cer and hexosylceramide molar ratios and increases SM molar ratios in relation to PC in MCF-7 cells cultured with sphingosine; disrupts Golgi and endoplasmic reticulum integrity in HeLa cells; reduces tumor volume in an NCI H358 NSCLC mouse xenograft using cells that express wild-type PP2A-A but not those that express an PP2A-AR183W at 5 mg/kg; increases allograft survival in a murine heart transplantation model at 5 mg/kg
