Description
A positive allosteric modulator of mGluR5 (Ki = 250 nM); potentiates glutamate-induced calcium flux in HEK293 cells expressing rat mGluR5 (EC50 = 10.7 nM); prevents ethanol-induced memory impairments in the novel object recognition test in rats at 30 mg/kg; reverses ethanol-induced conditioned place preference in rats at 10 mg/kg for ten days, an effect that can be reversed by MTEP or MK-801
