Description
Active Motif's TransAM Kits are sensitive, non-radioactive DNA-binding ELISAs that facilitate the study of transcription factor activation in mammalian tissue and cell extracts. Assays are available for over 40 different targets. Cited in over 1,000 publications, TransAM is by far the most popular kit for studying transcription factor activation. Standard TransAM Kits contain a 96-stripwell plate to which the consensus-binding site oligo has been immobilized. TransAM Flexi NFkB Kits use a different format that enables you to design your own biotinylated oligos so you can test alternative NFkB binding sites. When your oligonucleotides and nuclear extract are added, activated NFkB binds specifically to your oligos, which are bound by the plate. A primary antibody specific for an epitope on the bound, active form of the NFkB subunit is then added followed by incubation with secondary antibody and Developing Solution to provide an easily quantified, sensitive colorimetric readout. TransAM Flexi NFkB p50 contains an antibody specific for the NFkB subunit p50.
