Description
A GAT1 inhibitor (IC50s = 0.13 and 0.64 µM for the human and rat transporters, respectively); selective for GAT1 over rat GAT2, human GAT3, and human BGT3 (IC50s = 550, 944, and 7,210 µM, respectively); inhibits GABA uptake in rat synaptosome preparations (IC50 = 341 nM); inhibits DMCM-induced seizures in mice (ED50 = 3.1 mg/kg)
