A glycine conjugate of phenylacetate; decreases hypoxia-induced apoptosis in neonatal mouse cardiomyocytes at 100 µM; urine and plasma levels are increased in an amiodarone-induced rat model of phospholipidosis; reduces myocardial infarct size in a mouse model of ischemia-reperfusion injury
