Description
An mTOR inhibitor (Ki = 10.8 nM); selective for mTOR over PI3K p110α (Ki = 4.2 µM) and a panel of 456 other kinases at 10 µM; has antiproliferative activity against a panel of 66 cancer cell lines (mean IC50 = 919 nM); induces cell cycle arrest at the G1 phase in A2058 and SKOV3 cancer cells at 5 µM; decreases the number of seizures per week in a Tsc1GFAP conditional knockout mouse model of epilepsy at 100 mg/kg per day
