Description
An iridoid glycoside; stimulates GLP-1 secretion by NCI H716 human enteroendocrine colorectal cancer cells at 1 μM; inhibits dexamethasone-, 3-isobutyl-1-methylxanthine-, and insulin-induced differentiation of mouse 3T3-L1 fibroblasts into adipocytes at 10 μg/ml; decreases the plasma atherogenic index and cardiac risk ratio, as well as plasma levels of IL-6, TNF-α, and oxLDL in a cholesterol-rich diet-induced rabbit model of atherosclerosis
