Description
An ALK5 inhibitor (IC50 = 5.3 nM); selective for ALK5 over a panel of 27 other kinases at 5 µM; decreases renal fibrogenesis, inflammatory cell infiltration, and tubular atrophy in a mouse model of unilateral ureteral obstruction at 10 mg/kg per day; reduces kidney levels of TGF-β1, α-SMA, hydroxyproline, and fibronectin in the same model; decreases tunica plaque area, increases elastin fiber numbers, and reverses penile curvature in a rat model of Peyronie's disease induced by TGF-β1 overexpression at 5 mg/kg per day
