An oxygenated triterpenoid; inhibits glucose uptake and lactate production at 50-200 µM and decreases pyruvate and acetyl-coenzyme A production at 100 and 200 µM in HT-29 and SW620 colon cancer cells; increases protein levels of SIRT3 in HT-29 and SW620 cells; cytotoxic to HepG2, HeLa, and Caco-2 cells (IC50s = 0.14, 0.18, and 0.02 µg/ml, respectively)
