Description
A neuroprotective agent and prodrug form of galantamine; active against M. tuberculosis and M. aurum (MIC = 31.25 µg/ml for both); decreases the frequency of scopolamine-induced spontaneous alternations in the T maze continuous alternation task in mice (ED50 = 0.34 mg/kg); inhibits increases in hippocampal and entorhinal cortex Aβ plaque densities in the 5XFAD transgenic mouse model of Alzheimer's disease when administered intranasally at 6 mg/kg per day
