Description
An inhibitor of DUSP6 and DUSP1; a mixture of (E) and (Z) isomers; an (E/Z) isomeric mixture inhibits LPS-induced increases in the production of IL-1β, IL-6, and ROS in RAW 264.7 and isolated mouse peritoneal macrophages in an ERK-independent manner at 0.5-2 µM; an (E/Z) isomeric mixture inhibits proliferation, migration, and invasion of gastric cancer cells in an ERK-dependent manner and reduces tumor growth in a gastric cancer PDX mouse model at 35 mg/kg every seven days; the (E) isomer inhibits DUSP6 and DUSP1 in HeLa cells (IC50s = 12.3 and 11.5 µM, respectively); the (E) isomer induces expansion of the cardiac progenitor cell pool and increases heart size in zebrafish embryos
