Description
A synthetic lipid amine that acts as an adjuvant; subplantar injection of avridine induces paw swelling, tissue destruction, bone and pannus formation, and neutrophil, fibroblast, and osteoclast infiltration in rats; increases the number of CD4+ T and MHC class II+ cells in rat paws at 1.5 mg/animal; has been used to induce experimental rheumatoid arthritis in rats
