Description
Our Anti-Mucin 2 rabbit polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies Incorporated is produced in-house. It detects human Mucin 2, and is purified by Protein A chromatography. It is great for use in IHC, ICC, WB, ELISA. - Mucin 2, oligomeric mucus/gel-forming, also known as MUC2, is a human intestinal mucin gene. This gene is expressed in colon, small intestine, colonic tumors, bronchus, cervix, gall bladder, and possibly other tissues. Mucins are high molecular weight glycoproteins having oligosaccharides attached to serine or threonine residue of the apomucin protein backbone by O-glycosidic linkages. This antibody stains normal colon and colonic carcinomas where it produces intense perinuclear staining in goblet cells. It also reacts with normal and neoplastic breast tissues and with prostate carcinoma. -
