Description
Our Anti-Cav1.3 Ca2+ channel mouse monoclonal primary antibody from NeuroMab is produced in-house from hybridoma clone N38/8. It detects human, mouse, and rat Cav1.3 Ca2+ channel, and is purified by Protein A chromatography. It is great for use in IHC, ICC. - Voltage-dependent L-type calcium channel subunit alpha-1D, or Cav1.3 calcium channel is a calcium channel encoded by the gene CACNA1D. It is a member of the L type voltage dependent calcium channel family. These calcium channels mediate the influx of calcium ions into a cell upon membrane polarization. Cav1.3 is expressed primarily in the membrane of the heart, brain (cerebral cortex, hippocampus, basal ganglia and thalamus). and pancreatic islets. Calcium channels are involved in many cell processes including muscle contraction, neurotransmitter release, gene expression, cell division and cell death. Diseases associated with Cav1.3 include Primary Aldosteronism, Seizures, Sinoatrial Node Dysfunction and Deafness. -
