Description
An isoquinoline alkaloid; a metabolite of coptisine; is cytotoxic against NCI-N87 gastric cancer cells (EC50 = 20.31 µM); reverses paclitaxel resistance in SKOV3 and HCT-15 cells (EC50s = 0.3 and 0.5 ng/ml, respectively); reduces colonic shortening and inflammatory cell infiltration in a DSS-induced mouse model of ulcerative colitis at 50 or 100 mg/kg
