Anti-human VEGFR-2/sc-Fv (single chain (VEGFR-2 sc-Fv) antibody was constructed from cDNA of mice immunised with highly purified soluble VEGFR-2).

Endothelial and hematopietic cells develop from a common bifunctional progenitor, the hemangioblast, which expresses KDR and CD34 as key marker surface antigens. The detection and quantification of these KDR/CD34-positive human stem cells in bone marrow, umbilical cord blood and immobilized peripherial blood represents an important and essential area in bone marrow transplantation. In this respect we are pleased to announce that we offer a high affinity single chain antibody (Cat.-No 500-001) suitable for the detection, quantification and isolation of KDR positive hematopoietic stem cells using a flow cytometry assay. ELISA: It is recommended that a range of dilutions be utilized in prelimary experiments to determine optimal concentrations for use of this antibody. For most applications, the anti-human VEGFR-2 sc-Fv antibody should be diluted between 1:50 and 1:20 fold. FACS: To detect surface expressed VEGFR-2 on HUVECs and CD34+VEGFR-2+ hematopoetic immature cells by FACS analysis this antibody can be used at concentrations of 0.5-5 g/ml.
