Mitochondrial Detection Kit contains a proprietary membrane-permeable
mitochondria-selective dye suitable for use with live, detergent
permeabilized, and even aldehyde fixed cells.
Unlike conventional dyes, such as DiOC6(3), JC-1, rhodamine 123 and
tetramethylrhodamine ethyl ester, the Mito-ID Red dye highlights
mitochondria regardless of their energetic state. The dye is compatible
with most fluorescence detection systems, including conventional and
confocal fluorescence microscopes, as well as High Content Screening
(HCS) platforms. The kit is useful for assessing mitochondrial
morphology changes, estimating mitochondrial mass and co-localizing
GFP-tagged proteins to the mitochondrial compartment.

Enzo Life Sciences Kit contains two proprietary dyes suitable for
simultaneous staining of nucleoli and nuclei in live cells. The dyes
allow examination of nucleolar dynamic changes in intracellular
distribution, trafficking and localization arising from biological
processes such as the cell cycle and ribosome biogenesis. The kit is
compatible with most fluorescence detection systems, including
conventional and confocal fl uorescence microscopes, as well as High
Content Screening (HCS) platforms.
This kit is specifically designed for visualizing nucleoli and nuclei in
living cells. A control nucleolus perturbation agent, actinomycin D, is
provided for monitoring changes in nucleolar dynamics. Potential
applications for this kit include monitoring impaired ribosome
biogenesis, inhibition of transcription, cell cycle dynamics and
cellular stress, as well as the distribution, trafficking and dynamics

APOPTRAK [DRAQ5NO]
A new compound with the property to consistently
stain viable cells at a low level but with greater up-take upon membrane
disruption associated with cell death. APOPTRAK is a N-oxide
modification of the cell permeable DNA probe DRAQ5. Compared to DRAQ5,
APOPTRAK shows reduced cellular penetration properties, but retains the
advantageous chromophore and fluorescence characteristics of DRAQ5:
Emission wavelengths extending from 665nm to beyond 780nm (Em λ max of 700.5nm for 647nm
excitation) permit the use of APOPTRAK staining alone or its
incorporation into existing fluorometric protocols for live/dead cell
discrimination using visible range fluorochromes or GFP-based probes.
Importantly in contrast to propidium iodide APOPTRAK will positively
label intact cells at a low level (providing a positive discrimination/reference
signal while compromised membranes/cellular integrity will result in a
significantly increased signal).

488, Chromeo 494, Chromeo 546 and Chromeo 642 exhibit superior
luminescence properties, broad Stokes shifts, stability towards
photobleaching and pH, and low cell toxicity. In addition, they are
compatible with most excitation sources including diode lasers, LEDs,
tungsten lamps and xenon arc lamps. Chromeo Dyes are typically used to
label biomolecules covalently in a chemical reaction. The Chromeo Dyes are
available in different formats. As amine reactive NHS-Esters are useful to
label amino groups in peptides, proteins or amino modified DNA. Secondary

fluorophores, especially GFP fusions, FITC-labelled antibodies and far-red
